Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Thank you for all your messages of support. Here is a brief sample from the latest batch

Wonderful to see a positive initiative in difficult times.
- Brian

I think this is a brilliant idea. Ireland has had a great tradition in voluntary work and local initiatives and this is the way to go.
- Sheelagh

Thank you for giving us the chance to make suggestions to improve our country. We need to see the current economic climate as a great opportunity to change how we run our country/community.
- John

This site gave me hope at a time when I’m feeling very low about the current economic situation
- John

Fantastic opportunity for Joe and Josephine Soap to forward an idea they may have had for years. The website encourages a feeling that we are all helping in a positive way. Keep it up.
- Michael

I believe campaigns like this are an invaluable and daring way of creating a new direction for growth. Best of luck in the campaign.
- Rob

I think this website is a great idea. It gives ordinary people off the street a chance to have their ideas and opinions looked at by the right people.
- John

I am an enthusiastic supporter of the campaign. It is only through the power of positive and creative thinking that Ireland will emerge strong from this crisis. This campaign should continue at both national and local levels in order to attract wide participation and real positive results. I have a range of skills and experience that I would be willing to contribute on a voluntary basis to build a better Ireland.
- Rosaleen

Think this website is a great idea. A lot of people out there have some really good ideas and it’s great there is now a website where these ideas can be posted and heard. Hopefully we will see action from some of them.
- Anne

This is what we need. It only takes one spark to light a fire, keep striking!
- Jimmy

This is a great initiative. I.T. working at its best! It may engage the youth and younger people in the bigger issues also.
- Margaret

I believe this initiative was a wonderful idea to counteract the negative sentiment which of itself is very damaging to our economy. I hope you also get lots of publicity because the airing of the ideas already created will act as a catalyst for a further raft of ideas and in turn should improve business and consumer confidence. Let’s hope the policymakers also pay attention.
- Lorna

I think this is excellent. Irish people are creative and will succeed in surviving this recession. I do hope that something will come of the campaign and would hate to see an opportunity like this lost. After all, the people of Ireland are speaking.
- Raymond

Gach dea-dhuí ar an obair fiúntach atá ar siúl ag Ideas Campaign!
- Vincent

I truly hope that if the campaign produces valuable and innovative ideas they will be brought to fruition with great urgency. We can no longer afford to react to events nationally and global at our current pace.
- Arron

This website is great for giving people the chance to voice their ideas. I hope the ideas are read by those who can implement them. By listening to the people we can get out of this stronger than when we went in. Hopefully we can show the rest of the world we can manage our own affairs.
- Tiarnan

A smashing idea - born out of a land of not just saints and scholars but innovators and entrepreneurs. Keep it up folks.
- Barry

I fully believe in this campaign to harness the ideas and skills of the people who most care about the country and its future.
- Pat

This website is the best idea of all!
- Regina

Your Ideas Campaign is the nucleus by which ideas can be collected and acted upon. May your harvest be a hundredfold
- Sheila

This campaign is unique in the history of the world as never before have ordinary people been given a forum to express their views and it is very satisfying to communicate to the world in this way.
- Grainne

I believe there is a great will and determination among all of us Irish to show that we have what it takes to come through this. We all want get this pain over with asap, and to chart a sustainable and prosperous course so that we can we and our children can enjoy the fruits of all of our hard work. Well done to you all at the Ideas Campaign for providing the space for making the voices of the ordinary people’s heard. Let us all get on with influencing and improving what we can improve (and not indulge in the blame game of who was responsible for all that has happened - as that is history).
- John

I think this is a superb campaign. Well done! I think we should concentrate on making the environment as easy as possible for new businesses and ideas to establish and get off the ground. Often it is not money but collaborative support that is needed.
- Michael

Fantastic idea, just the kind of solidarity and mindful thinking Ireland requires to become a leader during this time of turmoil.
- Marcus

The campaign is an excellent idea. The best ideas will come from the ordinary person. Thanks for providing a channel to harness those ideas. As a nation we have overcome many difficulties before by pulling and working together. Now is the time to go the extra mile, forget about who put us where we are or why we are where we are. The sooner we get stuck in together and focus on the future the better. There is no future in the past. Let’s do it!
- Denis

Excellent idea, even if some of them I have submitted is not. Good luck in generating something permanent, successful and positive
- Ronan

Irish people are the most innovative and cooperative in the world. If we work together we can use our small country, can do advantage and all that we have learned in the past 20 years, good and bad, to bounce back.
- Imogen

Thanks for showing leadership when it is badly needed
- Michael

Best of luck with this campaign. I hope there will be no shortage of ideas and that the government takes some sensible action
- Margaret

Great idea itself - just getting people thinking and sharing in a public forum will create a much needed co-operative clearing house of innovation.
- Denis

The ideas bank is a brilliant idea and will generate positive responses and new directions for Ireland for the future from people all over the country.
- Ronan

Messages of support: batch # 4

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

Thank you for all your messages of support. Here is just a brief sample of some of the latest of them…

I would like to congratulate the Irish people on this innovative and inspiring campaign. This idea should be taken to a global level. Excellent work and brilliant ideas! Greetings from Amsterdam.
- Charles

It’s been so uplifting to read the positive ideas on this site. Well done and keep it up. If I can be of any help put me on your database. This period could show us what we really are as a nation.
- Tina

Well done to the people behind this initiative. It’s long overdue and a change from the all-doom-and-gloom merchants.
- Nora

Well done to all concerned. I hope that this campaign doesn’t end at the end of March, but continues and grows into a support group for people who care about their country.
- Margaret

Einstein defined insanity as repeating the same process and expecting a different result. Your campaign is changing the process by delivering the crucial element - the idea.
- John

Out of these practical ideas should come tremendous results. It’s been particularly heartening to read suggestions on reducing huge waste in state offices. Great to give us ordinary people a voice. Thank you.
- Melanie

Good for you. Let’s have a bit more positive thinking. Everyone has to do their bit to get us out of this mess. Endless moaning and blaming doesn’t help at all. We need more creative initiatives like this. Well done and all the best to all involved.
- Jean

Brilliant idea and well done. Let’s hope THEY listen!
- Ian

Messages of support: batch # 3

Friday, March 13th, 2009

Thank you for all your messages of support. Here is just a brief sample of some of the latest of them…

The Ideas Campaign is simple, straightforward and, most importantly, everyone has a role to play. The current crisis should be seen as a massive opportunity for the Irish people to finally tap into the talents of everyone living here - as well as the talents of the Irish Diaspora - to come out of this crisis and emerge a stronger and better nation for it.
- Oisin

This is a great and powerful idea. We need to have confidence in ourselves and our abilities in order to move forward out of this crisis. We have the ability to create our own destiny.
- Michelle

Congratulations on having the courage to start this campaign and empowering the Irish people again. We have all felt like pawns in a huge chess game over the past number of months. This campaign gives us back our voice and allows us to feel we have some control over our future. Thank you for making this possible.
- Brenda

The Ideas Campaign is an excellent idea. It is very encouraging for people who may have shunned politics because they believed it was a ‘done deal’ at every election. Now is the time for true democracy and true people power to save the economy.
- Louise

This is a great idea and a great campaign. I suggest you target children - they have ideas that all of us adults know can’t work, because we’re all so wise. But are we? Why not set up a special website for children. They have a huge amount to contribute and should be encouraged to be part of the solution.
- Shane

What can I say that has not been already said? It is obvious that there is a fantastic belief and effort being put into your campaign by all involved. I hope that what needs to be done to turn around this situation will come from the people of this country through their own ideas.
- Cathal

I commend you on having the courage to pursue this fantastic idea. Many people have good ideas but fear public criticism and keep their ideas to themselves. This crisis is forcing us to wake up and create a better Ireland.
- Mary

This is just what is needed to unlock creativity that otherwise would stay locked in people’s minds.

- Anthony

I’m delighted to support this campaign. It’s brilliant to think that through the Ideas Campaign I now have the opportunity to put my ideas forward to government. It’s also a brilliant collaborative opportunity to use the web to connect people with the powers that be.
- Brian

I think it is fantastic to see a forum that is channelling ideas from various age groups, social backgrounds and experience. I am sure that the best ideas often remain hidden and are rarely given a voice. I hope the Ideas Campaign gives the great people who remain in the background the opportunity to stand out and make a difference.
- Julie

I believe that by establishing and supporting a greater number of smaller enterprises we have a greater hope of finding our next Kerry Group or Ryanair as global demand picks up. We must not allow ourselves to rely exclusively on small numbers of big businesses to support entire communities. I would be very interested in getting involved in the Ideas Campaign. If there are any open sessions I would be very interested in attending. Please let me know.
- Dara

You are brilliant, true patriots - I thoroughly applaud your efforts. You are and will make a very positive and substantial difference to people’s lives. Well done to Mark Little for championing you.
- Stephen

It’s great to see a simple, commonsense idea that gives the public a chance to voice their opinions and know that they will be heard. It is this kind of thinking that we need and will lead us out of the situation that we are in. Thank you.
- Colette

Showing initiative is a trait that lies dormant in many of us. Your website is to be commended because it invites and supports initiative. Showing initiative and doing things in new and better ways will contribute significantly to getting this country out of recession.
- Vincent

I’m delighted to see your campaign using the public airwaves to spread optimism and constructive thinking. We’ve needed this for a long time and maybe now is the perfect opportunity to bring about a huge change in direction for Ireland.
- John Francis

Fantastic. You feel you can take ownership of the problem and try to solve it instead of just being a helpless spectator. You are an inspiration in this tsunami of doom and gloom.
- Frank

This is a vital resource to pool the ideas of the nation. I would like to see it become a permanent resource and not just for the month of March. Thank you for doing this and best of luck.
- Anne Louise

This forum is a great opportunity for everyone to have their say on how we can pull ourselves out of this recession. This country has survived worse times than this, and we will prevail again.
- Conor

1,200 proposals for the Ideas Campaign

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

Interest from Britain, the US and mainland Europe

Over 1,200 ideas and several thousand messages of support have been pouring into the Ideas Campaign website since our launch on RTE’s Primetime programme on Thursday, 5 March.

In the last five days, more than 16,000 people have visited IdeasCampaign.ie, including a substantial number from Britain, the US and the Continent.

Over 100 organisations, ranging from the Irish Countrywomen’s Association to the American Chamber of Commerce, have pledged their support to the campaign, which has also generated extensive national and local media interest.

The campaign was featured on the front page of Saturday’s Irish Times, and Campaign Director Aileen O’Toole has been interviewed on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, Today FM’s The Last Word and several local radio stations.

Tomorrow the Ideas Campaign will name the members of its Advisory Group which will select the best ideas generated by the campaign, for the report that will presented to government.

Taoiseach Brian Cowen has already stated that the Group’s recommendations will be fast-tracked for consideration by the Cabinet’s Sub-Committee on Economic Renewal.

Messages of support: batch # 2

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Thank you for your messages of support, which continue to arrive in their hundreds. Here is a brief sample of them…

I’m glad to see a site where the average person can express their concern. I think the country needs to focus on the service sector big time. Renewable energy is the future, yet Ireland does nowhere near as much recycling as we should. Everything has a life cycle including fuels, we need to look at ways around this.
- Declan

‘Tis always better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. This campaign is exactly what we need. If our leaders won’t lead, we’ll lead them. Anything I can do to help - just ask.
- Conal

Great job guys, finally something positive. My little message is to just support each other in our own country for a while. We need to buy local and support all our local businesses, they are the lifeblood of this economy and won’t disappear when it gets bad.
- Gareth

Every best wish with the campaign, sorely needed.
- Peter

Thanks for the encouragement you are giving to me and thousands of people with your initiative. My sense of what you are doing highlights how this country and the world has changed, but that the structures we have for organising ourselves have not kept pace with that change.

There is a strong sense in which the grassroots are several steps ahead of the politicians and establishment in terms of combating the current downturn. You’ve tapped into that.
It is possible that what we are seeing in the world today is the failure of the traditional systems of organisation or ‘conventional wisdom’ in the face of new circumstances rather than just an economic blip. When systems fail, new grassroots movements arise.

My parents’ values were formed by two catastrophes - the Great Depression and the Second World War. The idea of universal education and healthcare as human rights arose from the grassroots movements of that period of history.

They both had a strong sense that personal sacrifice with fair treatment were important in society - these values seem to be on the rise again. In the current situation, I think we need to recognise that things can never go back to the way that they where and that these circumstances will force us to look again at how we live and organise ourselves.

This is a huge opportunity to decide on new ways of living and organising. My personal aspiration is that we don’t return to ‘business as usual’ but that we build a more equal, peaceful, honest and economically sustainable society. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
- Dermot

I think JFK really epitomises what you are about: “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.” I think this is a fantastic idea, congrats for having the balls to set up and hopefully wake up the politicians… they need to learn people before party… I will be happy to give any help I can.
- Brendan

Maith sibh! The citizens of this country need to take ownership and get involved in driving us out of this mess and, in doing so, build a fairer, more inclusive society. This is a positive, proactive first step. We’re all in this together. Beir bua!
- Patrick

We applaud this positive initiative and look forward to providing input. Our members report that despite the economic gloom, the new wave of entrepreneur is out there and is anxious to get going.

These first “green shoots” should be nurtured and supported as they can make a positive contribution to the turnaround plan. Government support for this micro industry must be encouraged as these are the most likely creators of new employment in the next two years.
- Suzanne

This is a great idea we need to stimulate, by offering incentives to companies because currently all we are doing is cutting costs for our clients. This has then a downward spiral which is affecting jobs etc.

Our print division are on a three-day week and everybody else took a 15% reduction in salaries, but now we have more tax on the way. This is not the way forward. We have to remain positive and keep trying to spend, that is what is needed. Best of luck with the effort we are all behind you.
- Kieran

Damn good idea. We’re all sitting like hedgehogs paralysed by the lights of the approaching truck. The flow of money is intimately related to the flow of goods and services, but it is not the same thing.

Devalue, leave the euro, borrow, tax, halve in the cost of the public service, form a national government with a maximum life span of five years, co-opt people who have proven than they can beat the odds - like the Ryanair Boss and/or the Aer Lingus boss and people like Charlie Haughey, God rest him.

Incidentally I’m 61 and in business for 37 years with 25 employees, a brother and two sons, but I have several quite separate ideas for manufacturing products and services, both categories of which would be almost entirely for export. But getting one’s hands on the working capital to develop them looms like a cliff face without a top. How do I proceed?
- Brian

The Irish people are bright and creative enough to drive this country forward and to create the type of society and economy that we want. Let us all individually be the change we want to see in Ireland - we can do it!
- Derek

Like the idea, excuse the pun.
- Cormac

Congratulations, many of us talk about getting up and doing something, but credit to those of you who are doing so. Actions speak louder than words.
- Cornelius

It was great to hear something positive at last on Prime Time and what I heard inspired me to log on to this website and circulate its address to work colleagues and friends. I checked the RTE website to hear Aileen’s interview on Morning Ireland.

I sincerely hope that we can generate some positive realistic ideas that can be implemented to lift the country out of this recession. Best wishes,
- Mary

What a great concept, harnessing the power of the Internet and connecting people who, like myself, feel completely overwhelmed by statistics, doom, gloom and negativity. For my part I believe that people should be supporting Irish jobs in choosing to Buy Irish in local supermarkets. Good luck with it and congratulations!
- Erik

‘Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.’ Albert Einstein 1879-1955, physicist. Your imagination is raising the spirits of our nation.
- Tom

My optimism in this country has been rewarded, I have long felt so lucky to be born here. I’m dyslexic, with a lateral mind and am now beginning to realise how this is a gift and not a burden, but I am lucky to have had a third-level education.

The most enjoyable part of my work is teaching and through that I come across people who are unable to shove a good idea forward for many reasons. Hopefully now with this site we will listen harder and support people who have creative ideas but may not have the full knowledge how to implement them.
- Geraldine

Congratulations and well done - just seen the website and will get together with our team and see if we can come up with some ideas.
- Fiona

Fantastic idea. Economies cannot survive without confidence and collective self esteem - IdeasCampaign can do this and more as it may also help to create some work and collaboration as we move into a new era in business/economies.

More power to your elbow (now there’s an idea…. get FAS and ANCO to train teams of wind turbine engineers to design, manufacture, create, install and maintain wind turbines and other renewable technologies - make Ireland an epicentre of renewable ideas and executions).
- Paul

Taoiseach’s statement about campaign

Sunday, March 8th, 2009

Commenting on the launch of the Ideas Campaign during the week, the Taoiseach Mr Brian Cowen TD, said today (Sunday 8th March 2009):

“I got a briefing from Aileen O’Toole on this campaign during the week and it’s just the type of ‘new thinking’ that’s needed right now.

“Last weekend, I spoke of the current need for a ‘Meitheal Mentality’ - helping each other out when the job needs to be done. This is a perfect example of it.

“Ireland needs the combined wisdom of its people focussed positively on solutions at this stage - a fantastic resource if it could be harnessed.

“I meet people every day who want to contribute practical ideas to help Ireland overcome the severe economic challenges that face the country.

“This independent and non political campaign provides the ideal channel for those ideas.

“I will ensure that ideas emerging through the screening by the Independent Advisory Council overseeing the initiative, will be fast-tracked to the Cabinet sub-committee on Economic Renewal for assessment and implementation, where appropriate.

“I encourage anyone with an idea however small or large to submit it right away.”

Messages of support: batch # 1

Friday, March 6th, 2009

Thank you for your messages of support to the Ideas Campaign - we have received hundreds since the campaign was launched last night. Here is a brief flavour of them…

This is a fantastic concept. It was so refreshing to hear a little bit of optimism and positivity! I really hope this campaign is successful in generating real solutions for digging us out of this recession.

- James

Well done, we need more positive people around. As a nation we are always good at helping others, so let us all look out for each other now. (A SMILE is very infectious.)

- Carole

Your campaign is the most singular positive thing I have seen on the television for a long, long, time.   I wish you the very best of luck with the campaign!   Only a female brain could come up with this idea.

- Geraldine

I think this website is a great idea, people are frustrated.  But we’re not down and out, there is loads of business being done every day.  People are prepared to pull together.  In a couple of years we may look back on this recession as being a positive catalyst for change, back to a more sustainable and inclusive way of life.

- Graham

Go h-iontach ar fad! Fair play to you… what a brilliant idea… and it WILL work. I will post my own idea shortly as it is just been hatched at present! Good luck and keep up the good work.

- Mary

It was so wonderful to hear someone being positive in the midst of such doom and gloom which is beamed into our living rooms hour by the hour these days. I felt challenged to stop myself from adding to these voices - to stop the whinging and instead to add my voice here- to use my creativity and find new ways of working with others that contribute to making Ireland a better place to live in. I will write more about how I might do this  in the coming days.

- Toni

We have just created Why Not, a local not-for-profit organisation with a mission of getting people involved in their community through different projects, particularly cross-generational. We cannot look to others (the government) to take care of us and others. We must all become participants and watch out for each other. The name is taken from the quote by George Bernard Shaw: “Some men see things as they are and say why. Others dream of things that never were and say why not.” Our first project is Dundalktv.com. This is one of those times that “We the people” (I am an American, part of the returning Irish after 3 generations) need to take matters into our own hands and hope the government stays out of our way. Thank you for this forum

- Tom

Just saw you on Prime Time.  Most optimistic person I have seen for months.  Been out of work for 2.5 months and struggling to think of an idea.  Know I have to do something different to get me out of the hole - just hasn’t popped into my head yet.  Volunteered today at least it’s a start.  When I get an idea I will put it on your website.   Thank you for giving people hope.

- Annette

I caught Aileen’s contribution on Prime Time last night and I just had to leave a message! It is just wonderful to hear such optimism and excitement about our current situation. Optimism as the belief is out there that we can and will weather this storm if we all pull together, and excitement about the opportunities that are now presented to us all as a nation. I thought since January that I was a voice crying in my own personal wilderness regarding the opportunities that the current phenomenon now presents Ireland and the world at large. The ‘Yes We Can’ attitude that President Obama has brought to the USA can be spread here. In some instances and some businesses we have a wonderful opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start again. An opportunity to find better and greater ways of doing business is now there for us all to grasp and run with, because in reality the world society - I think - is going to change now and we are going to have to bring a more humanistic approach to how we do business and how we treat each other. Never has there been a better time for all people on this planet to pull together. But let’s start small. Ireland has nothing to lose now. Let us be the forerunners, the thinkers of Europe, the ‘fire-starters’! With the Ideas Campaign we have one runner out of the blocks. I am going to do my bit in my workplace to get an internal Ideas Campaign going to get a bit of motivation on the floor to get the business in the door. I am only small, I am at the bottom, but from little acorns might oaks do grow. Thank you Aileen for the inspiration!!!

- Gill

It’s a great idea to use the Internet to bring people together now. There’s so many frightened people out there, locked into their own anxiety. This will give hope, and hopefully ideas! Congratulations.

- Joan

Hey really great idea, I’m only 16, but I like your positive outlook. Great to see people like this in this country.

- Conor

I watched Aileen O Toole a couple of months ago on prime time and she inspired me. I was lucky enough to see her again last night, I love to be with optimistic people and she is certainly that. She speaks from the heart and if she is a leader within IC well that is the type of leadership qualities that this country needs “NOW” I look forward to speaking with her soon.

-Richard

I think this is an excellent idea and I believe the potential is there for it to have a real impact.

-Maurice

Finally, some sunshine on the horizon!

-Loraine

When I saw it on prime time, I felt excited about this idea because I believe there are many people out there with great ideas and this is just the way to find them. Well done.

-Mary

Mark Twain once said that … If I were required to guess off-hand, and without collusion with higher minds, what is the bottom cause of the amazing material and intellectual advancement of the last fifty years, I should guess that it was the modern-born and previously non-existent disposition on the part of men to believe that a new idea can have value.

-Christine

Well done and wish your campaign every success as the first step in regenerating a sense of community and common purpose forgotten during the boom.

-Mel

This is the start of the next boom, it’s simple offer businesses or the public a way of saving money in an efficient and professional manner and you’re on your way to being a millionaire.

-Andrew

As said in the first text box, great idea for a website and best of luck!

-Matt

It’s a great campaign. I am fed up hearing doom and gloom. We so need cheering up. Its spring time - the daffodils are up - and there is so much good about if we just make a big effort to see it. Thank you for starting this!

-Joan

Completely love your attitude its where its at you would not believe this but I thought of your idea also but delay but I didn’t follow through that’s the difference as Billy Connelly said on TV tonight you have to be a bit mad a little!

-Ultan

Well done keep up this campaign.

-James

Fair play to ye…I was just about sick of the negativity!!  Thu, 3/5/09 10:56 PM

-Ruth

Tá smaoineamh maith anseo agaibh. Tá an tír seo lán le daoine go bhfuil samhlaíocht acu ach in amanna tagann an leisce sa bhealach ar smaoineamh maith a fhorbairt. Go n-éiri go geal libh leis an bhfeachtas, tá spiorad an dóchais laistiar dhe agus is tuilleadh de sin atá ag teastáil. Ní fada go mbeidh muid ar an mbóthar ceart eacnamúil arís!

-Vincent

Great idea. We badly need to take back control of our affairs. The government is clearly unable to run the place.

-Frank

Fantastic idea, at last something positive is being done.

-Brenda

Great ‘idea’…like lots of others. Luckily you are ‘high profile’ people, so are much more able to get something off the ground than the likes of myself. Well Done.

-Alan

This is a comment on your classification. I find it insulting that I am defined by my current employment status or lack thereof.

-Sandra

Let’s get the country moving.

-Paul

After watching Prime Time tonight, Aileen’s positive approach has reinforced my beliefs that we are an innovative nation and can evolve. It is refreshing and welcomed and has my full support.

-Gillian

Well done on this initiative and I was reminded of this quote when I saw your initiative launched on Prime Time In a time of drastic change, it is the learners who inherit the future. The learned usually find themselves equipped to live in a world that no longer exists.

- Eric

FANTASTIC…. Keep it going…especially the no whinging element.

-Mary

Head up arse down, we are all in this together.

-Gerard

I think what you are doing is great. I am fed up with whingers.

-Julie

I think this is a good idea. I hope it is real.

-John

What you are doing is fantastic and exactly the kind of thinking I had .I’d love to get more involved and help your excellent idea. Very, very well done. Keep it going and please let me know what I can do to help.

-Sharon

Great idea of web site -time to really look hard at all aspects of our life and what we want from it - this web site will go some way towards achieving this.

-Pat

Go n-éirí go breá libh!

-Antaine

Together we can make a difference…. keep up the good work!

-Ciara

As a serial entrepreneur I have raise funds for many businesses. However companies who have the ability to repay are finding it hard to get the banks to lend for even small growth. It appears that the solution to growth is with the entrepreneur, indigenous our otherwise. If the banks are not willing to lend then the government (who cannot force them to as a private entity) they can provide a support structure to open the flow of funds to those who need it

-Gerard

I love the ability to be able to put in a box out of the box ideas.

-Gerard

Great idea, long overdue - every idea if action will help the economy - keep up the ban on whingeing. No Blaming, No Excuses, No Denial - just ownership, accountability and responsibility.

-Derek

The idea of the campaign is great-well done.

-Desmond

I think we need to focus on the positive. We are a great nation!

!!!!

-Brendan

This is a fantastic idea - there are so many good ideas out there waiting to be recognised - keep up the good work.

-Richard

Aileen, well done for setting up - no whingers - just solutions!! Cheers.

- Johnny

This is an excellent idea. Vastly too much gloomy information is being circulated and the politicians are too busy sniping and making points against one another. Let’s talk about what can be done, discuss it sensibly find the best ideas and let’s get on with it. I like it.

-Tom

Great idea, Aileen - best of luck!

-Fiona

This is a brilliant idea and I wish it every success.

-Tina
