Every society is enriched by social and voluntary endeavour. Ireland has a proud history of volunteerism, of assisting those who are less well off.

Also, Ireland has a number of social entrepreneurs - people who have effected real change not only in Ireland but in some of the world’s most deprived countries.

The Irish economy needs ideas to further social causes, but we need to ensure that as a nation we spend whatever resources we have wisely.
