This is the buzzword for economic growth. The good news is that Ireland is an entrepreneurial race and that we’re well-disposed to new ideas. We have a presence of hi-tech businesses, which are the seedcorn for innovation.

The challenge is that we’re not so good at turning those ideas into cash. Irish companies historically have not spent enough on Research and Development and there are certain skills gaps.
