• Use mountain streams in North Mayo to build dams and generate hydro electricity. These streams don’t support wildlife so there would be limited environmental impact.
• Use new energy efficient lighting solutions to replace the current older technology used in street lights, hospitals and offices.
• Use off -peak wind energy to electrolyse water and produce hydrogen, react this with recycled CO2, react the rest of the hydrogen with CO in a Fischer-Tropsch reaction, which gives off a large amount of energy.
• Use our natural forestry resources to make Irish fire logs, reduce our dependence on foreign fire logs and possibly export any excess abroad.
• Use roadsides as areas where wind generators could be placed, and the towns where they are placed in or near could get cut rates.
• Use some of the green spaces in our housing estates to put up small wind generators which will feed into the local community.
• Use the Danish wind power model as a benchmark and build Irish wind farms at sea to utilise the winds energy.

• When a person buys a car from a dealership they should also receive a bike.
• When offices are empty lights should be turned off and the lights that light up a bridge should be turned off as they serve no real purpose.
