There has been a focus since the Good Friday Agreement to think of Ireland in terms of an all-island economy. In key sectors - the environment, tourism and transport - many projects are now planned on an all-island basis.

Many businesses which operate in Ireland, north and south, also think that way. Given the size of the island of Ireland, it makes sense to look on Ireland as an all-island economy.
