The campaign in numbers
The campaign met with a huge response from the citizens of Ireland.
Here are the key statistics:
- 5,284 ideas logged between the campaign launch on 5 March and the ideas deadline of 31 March
- 47,884 visits to this campaign website and page views between those dates amounted to 214,304
- Visitors have been spending an average of 4.5 minutes on the sites, with the Ideas area, Ireland’s Economy and Supporters pages being the most popular
- Visitors from 116 overseas countries have been on the campaign website, accounting for 17% of website traffic in March
- The UK, the US and Germany accounted for the majority of traffic from outside the Republic of Ireland
- Three out of four ideas logged from overseas came from people born in Ireland
- The campaign’s presence on social media sites grew considerably during March. On Facebook alone, it reached over 1,000 friends in just over three weeks. That presence exceeded those of many of Ireland’s leading traditional media organisations
